significant dates
January 5th/6th Three Kings The Spanish celebrate the giving of presents on the 6th of January when the Spanish children put out their shoes to receive thier presents from the 3 Kings. On the night of the 5th January every town has a parade to celebrate, where sweets are thrown from the floats, a memorable sight.

Significant Dates
Easter. March/April This is an important time of year to the Spanish people starting from Palm Sunday there are processions most days culminating on Good Friday with a Religious Procession that is as moving as it is spectacular

Ferias
Every village Town and City has a Feria, this is were the people celebrate the patron saint of thier town, this is done with parades traditonal spanish dancing and singing and usually a fun fair. Benalmadena/Arroyo de la Miel last week in June Fuengirola first week in October Torremolinos Last week in September The largest one is Malaga which is Held Third week in August. Our favourite although not the largest is Benalmadena Pueblo as this is a typical Spanish village it has a more intimate atmosphere this is held second week of August

Trips
We can recommend various trips you may be interested in these include Gibraltar, Ronda, Granada, Marbella/Puerto Banus, Seville and many others. We can also put you in touch with free trips to various points within the area.

Public Transport
There is an excellent net work of Public Transport from the trains which you can catch in Arroyo de la Miel and takes you to Fuengirola one way and to the centre of Malaga the other way. There is also an excellent bus service which covers numerous points along the coast and inland. we have time tables for all these services just ask your representative

Markets
The Markets on the Costa del Sol are a wonderful place to find bargains to suit everyone.Particularly good buys are Spanish pottery and leather goods although almost everything is available. For something different why not try one of the flea marketswhere there are many stalls selling genuine old Spanish items which make a great change from the usual souvenirs. Monday. Beaches
The Costa Del Sol has miles of golden beaches all which carry a blue flag denoting cleanliness and safety. Benalmadena in particular has stretches of golden sands with shallow water for the first few meters. All along the beaches are chiringuitos ( beach bars ) which serve excellent snacks and meals try the sardines cooked on a bonfire in the sand. For the more adventurous there is a local naturist beach you may want to try

Nightlife
Huge clubs, trendy bars, a casino international cabaret and flamenco shows all this and much more makes Benalmadena one of the Costa Del Sols favourite night life hubs. The Marina is the in place to be for young trendies after the sun goes down.Take your pick of the many nightlife and entertainment venues which cater for party goers until sun up. The biggest concentration of clubs can be found plaza sol y mar (24 hour square) where the young at heart can party till 8 am. You will find plenty of good shows around including cabaret shows, flamenco drag artists and if you fancy a flutter there is a casino something for everyone

Amusement/Aqua Parks.
There are numerous Amusement and Aqua parks within easy reach of Benalmadena Costa, there is something to suit all members of the family Tivoli World. set in very pretty gardens with a traditional fairground attractions include the twiste,r roller coaster, hall of terror, big wheel and for the braver the free fall 60mtr tower. There is an area especially for the little ones with thier own rides and shows.There are endless free shows in the various squares and a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Selwo Marina.a day of pure delight, see the Dolphins perform in thier own show, watch the sea lions show off. walk through the jungle and see the exotic birds and see the ice island with the colony of penguins. This unique park is definiteley worth a visit. Sea Life Centre situated near to the marina walk through the glass tunnels you will have the oppurtunity to see thousands of sea creatures from Tiger Sharks sea horses stingrays sea snakes octopus and many more. There are interactive touch pools with the chance for children to hold various species in thier hands. A day the children wont forget. Crocodile Park. 300 crocodiles of various species live here an interesting and fun day out . Fuengirola Zoo is also a fun day out for the whole family with numerous animals and play areas for the children. Aqualand Torremolinos situated 10 minutes from the town centre this is the largest on the costa del sol with many slides and attractions. Parqua Aquatico.situated just outside Fuengirola a great fun day out for eveybody.

Eating Out
One of our favourite activities on holiday is eating, and there is certainly no shortage of restaurants and cafes to suit all budgets on the Coast. From an English breakfast or Menu Del Dia to fine A La Carte dining there is something for everyone with lots of different nationalities being available. If you have a particular preference we are happy to give you our recommendations.

Golf.
There are some 44 courses in the short stretch of coast between Malaga and Gibraltar. From a 9 hole work-out on your short game to a gruelling trek on a mountainside, testing your abilities to the limit, there are facilities here in extraordinary variety. If you do not wish to bring your own clubs we can arrange club hire for you and transport to and from various courses can also be arranged.

Marina Benalmadena Costa.
The award winning Marina is a great place for a day out, whether just to look at the boats and people watch,have a meal at the vast selection of bars and restaurants. There are numerous boat trips available from the Marina ,take the ferry to Fuengirola,or a trip dolphin watching, there are thrill rides on speed boats or sailing trips on a catamaran, take a trip on a chinese junk, or if fishing is your thing numerous trips are availavle.

Swimming Pools.
All our apartments are situated in blocks that have swimming pools,but please note these are seasonal and usually only open between May and Sept/Oct. There is an indoor Pool based in Arroyo de la Miel which is open all year round.
